1. Broken Front Teeth
If the cavity in a tooth is so big that the retention of the tooth to hold the filling is
compromised, then it becomes mandatory for the tooth to be capped/crowned with ceramic or
porcelain dental crowns so that it gets reinforced and can last in the mouth and serve for
a long time. For teeth that are badly damaged, ceramic and porcelain dental crowns can be
an effective treatment option.

2. Professional Cleaning of Teeth
Even though a person may be regular in brushing teeth twice a day (after dinner and after
breakfast), rinsing/washing with water everytime one eats, flossing teeth, some amount of
food debris remains in the mouth. This reacts with bacteria in the mouth to form a soft
slippery layer called plaque. This soft layer over time hardens to form a chalk like substance
called tartar or calculus. No amount of brushing can get rid of tartar/calculus.

4. FPD (Fixed partial denture)
There are several types of bridges. You and your dentist will discuss the best options for
your particular case. Porcelain fixed bridges are most popular because they resemble your
natural teeth. This type of bridge consists to two crowns that go over two anchoring teeth
and are attached to artificial teeth, filling the gap created by one or more missing teeth.

5. Root canal treatment
The goal of root canal therapy is to improve the health of your damaged tooth. During
treatment, the pulp is removed from your root canals through a small opening in the crown.
Then the canals are cleaned and disinfected. After root canal therapy your tooth should
function and feel like your other teeth.

few of the variables. Knowing the advantages and disadvantages of each option can help
you understand the options and make an informed decision.

7. Wisdom Teeth

The picture above shows an impacted wisdom tooth. The swollen gums are depicted in red,
while the decayed portions are shown in black. It also shows the erupting wisdom tooth
putting pressure on the adjacent tooth in front, which if allowed to continue for a
longer time, could result in crowding. The position of the wisdom tooth also makes it
difficult to keep that area clean, leading to decay and gum infection.

8. General Restorations of Decayed Teeth
Our mouth is full of bacteria. In fact, bacteria are everywhere. The food we eat combines
with saliva and bacteria to form a sticky coating on the teeth. This sticky coating is called
plaque and it plays an important role in tooth decay. When sugar is available to the bacteria
in plaque, they act on it and secrete acids. These acids erode tooth enamel. After repeated
acid attacks the enamel breaks down and a cavity is formed.

9. TMJ Disorder
Your TM joints are where your upper jaw and lower jaw meet just in front of the ears. Like
the gears of a car, the joints are moving parts that allow the lower jaw to move. This lets
you open and close your mouth for talking, biting and chewing. The joints are a complex,
made of muscles and jaw-bones. Each part plays a role in keeping your TMJs working smoothly.
When the muscles are relaxed and balanced and both jaw joints open and close comfortably,
you are able to talk, chew or yawn with no pain.
